About the person

I bring a cross-cultural perspective to my practice, having immigrated to the United States from Germany at the age of nineteen after completing two years of volunteer service. I am a husband and father to five children, including a cherished stillborn child. I am also a dedicated ally to the LGBTQ community, which includes many important people in my life.

Outside of my professional life, I maintain a commitment to personal growth, including getting better at laughing at myself. My interests include:

• Music & Creativity: I am passionate about music, both as a listener and a beginner musician playing the guitar, piano, and ukulele. I enjoy getting nerdy about virtual instruments and appreciate reading poetry.

• Active Pursuits: I enjoy staying active through bike riding and nature adventures with my children and wife, playing online soccer, and spending time at the beach with my family.
